My Story
I became a nurse in 1983, shortly after I became intrigued by
holistic medicine. It made perfect sense to me that you must look
at the whole person and treat the source of the problem not
merely the symptom. I took coursework in herbology, homeopathy,
energy medicine, reiki, as well as a multitude of spiritual and
self help studies.
During my professional career I was employed as a nurses aide,
staff nurse, visiting nurse, nursing supervisor, director of
nurses, and regional clinical services manager I’ve been in the
trenches and in the boardroom, I understand the stress and
overwhelm that occurs when combining working world with multiple
family obligations. Experiencing this first hand, I questioned
“Is this all there is?”.
I was drawn to find an easier more fulfilling way. I was drawn
to coaching, a perfect fit. I studied coaching at Coach U & then
Coachville’s Graduate School of Coaching and became a life coach.
I integrated my holistic health, spiritual and self help
knowledge into my coaching practice. I took a year long program
of study and became a Certified Prosperity Guide as well.
I have started 3 successful companies and speak to a wide array
of audiences. I have business I love, the absolute best clients,
a life I can’t wait to greet each morning, and a tool box full of
Soul-Full Strategies to help me manage the speed bumps that show
up from time to time.
I share my secrets to Soul-Full Success here on the blog and in
my programs. I live by it and my clients swear by it.
On a personal note….
I have 4 children 2 boys & 2 girls, 3 of which still live at
home. I truly love the teenage years, yes I know it’s unusual. I
find it fascinating to witness and rewarding to assist as they
discover who they are and move from childhood into adulthood.
We live in rural Connecticut on 19 acres with our golden
retriever, burmese mountain dog, 3 cats, and fish. I love to
garden, both flowers and vegetables, nothing beats a tomato fresh
from the garden. You can often find me out in the hammock or down
by the stream on a warm day writing for my blog.
We live in an old farm house so weekends are filled with do it
yourself projects, trekking the kids somewhere, or family events.
My daily meditation practice and yoga really keep me centered. I
enjoy reading, country music, and long soaks in the tub…..my best
me time.
These are a few of my favorite things:
the ocean ~~ dark chocolate ~~ the scent of jasmine ~~ Kenny Chesney~~ smiles ~~
watching the clouds ~~ hammocks ~~ digging my toes in the sand ~~
authenticity ~~ giggles ~~ intuition ~~ Sugarland ~~ a garden
fresh tomato ~~ yoga ~~ writing ~~ gardening ~~ sunshine ~~
elephants ~~ sunsets ~~learning new things~~a good book~~soul sisters
